Our kids grow stronger through sport

Our approach to our Junior Competition is not just about delivering a touch football competition. We believe it is a great opportunity to build our young peoples confidence and learning. Kids learn to overcome challenges, to compete and sometimes lose, to work through conflict, to contribute, to celebrate and to be a part of community. Of course they also learn ball skills, build coordination and participate in a sport that welcomes the whole family.
Ask any Brothers kids about their memories of the club and competition and they will talk about our 'lollie scramble' (yes we remind them lollies are a sometimes food). It is our favourite part of the day, when we see our young ones gather together with their big smiling faces waiting in anticipation. We use the time to reinforce our values (looking after our youngest and older people) and encourage everyone to share and make space for the littlest children.
We do love our touch and see the passion emerge in our young ones. Over the decade we see our Under 8's grow to represent our club in our Men's and Women's and some to represent the state and the country.
